Spellvine – The Super Easy Free Pattern To Wrap Your Crochet Bouquets

crochet flower bouquet, crochet flower gift, handmade crochet flowers, everlasting crochet bouquet, crochet flower home décor

Meet the Spellvine, the signature vine we use here at Kootsiko to bind our bouquets. It swirls, twists, and dances in the air like it’s alive, alien… or enchanted.

The stitches are simple enough for everyone, but if you’re a total beginner, don’t worry. You can find super short how-to videos on our blog to learn how to make a magic ring, chains and single crochet stitches before you start: Your Ultimate Crochet Beginner’s Checklist.

Are you ready for the pattern?

The Materials

Yarn: 100% cotton or 50% cotton-50% acrylic, 50gr

Hook: 1.5mm

Wire: 60mm – 70mm (appr. 70cm)

The Instructions

Step 1: Make a magic ring or a simple loop.

Step 2: Insert the wire and crochet 80 chains.

Step 3: Fold the wire in half and work 3 single crochet stitches into the first chain.

Step 4: Work 77 single crochets along the chain.

Step 5: Fold the end of the wire and make 5 to 9 more single crochets to cover it completely. Finish off and cut.

Step 6: If any part of the wire remains visible, use a tapestry needle and some yarn to cover it neatly.

Your Spellvine is ready!

Use it to wrap your bouquets, weave it through your flowers, or let it swirl freely to give your creations that dark, romantic, gothic, otherworldly vibe that makes Kootsiko… well, Kootsiko. 🖤
