Can crochet flowers be used instead of real flowers in bouquets?

Yes! Crochet flowers make beautiful, planet-friendly and long-lasting alternatives to real blooms. They never wilt and can be customized to match any style or occasion.

For a clean, sculpted look, a cotton or cotton blend yarn works best. It holds shape, shows detail, and doesn’t fuzz easily. But it’s up to you as you can use any kind of yarn and see for yourself what you like most.

It depends on the design, but most simple flowers take 1-4 hours to complete. Complex ones may take much longer but with practice you will become a lot faster.

Try the Medousa or the Forget-Me-Not pattern which are very easy. Both use basic stitches and take under an hour to make. However, most Kootsiko patterns are beginner-friendly.
